It was honored to be invited to learn more about Westinghouse’s eVinci™ microreactor—a revolutionary concept often called the “nuclear battery.” 

Compact, transportable, and designed to operate for more than eight years without refueling, eVinci represents a bold step toward clean, resilient, and decentralized energy. 

Walking through the technology center, what struck me most was not just the engineering excellence, but the vision: bringing reliable, zero-carbon power to remote communities, industrial sites, and—most exciting for me—AI data centers.

  • AI and Energy are inseparable. Every leap in AI capability—from training large models to deploying intelligent robotics—demands an equally ambitious leap in energy systems.
  • Resilient, carbon-free power like microreactors could be the backbone of next-generation data centers, where stability is as critical as compute power.
  • AI will not only consume energy but also optimize it. Imagine AI-driven predictive maintenance, intelligent load balancing, and real-time microgrid orchestration for systems like eVinci.

 

To build the future of AI, we must equally reimagine the future of energy.
